We are not the others.
We are just like you.

Toronto based actor/playwright and Hamilton Fringe favourite, Izad Etemadi, has been working with students from McMaster School of Social Work and members of the Hamilton Immigration community to create this performance piece. There is a need to put faces to the stories we read on reports and journals. To bring knowledge to the community - where it matters most.

Using music, poetry and the real words of immigrant women, we bring you into this world full of struggles, pain, tears and hope

"Immigration has been part of the history of humanity. We need to embrace it rather than fear it." - Dr. Mirna Carranza, McMaster University

"Being an immigrant is to give the best of oneself to a new homeland!" - Ines Rios, Immigrant Working Center
