SOCWORK 4G03: Conflict Intervention & Transformation: Introduction to theory and practice

Delivered from an Indigenous perspective, this course will provide students with an introduction to the theory, process, and skills necessary for transforming potentially conflictual situations into less threatening possibilities. Students will learn how new interpretations, meanings, and connections between conflicting parties can create space for resolving underlying values and feelings driving the conflict. Toward the end of the term students will be given the opportunity to practice their skills through role-play and structured feedback.

Spring term begins May 6!

When: Course will run on Mondays and Thursdays from 4:30 -7:30 p.m.

Instructor: Laurie Sherry-Kirk
