Sally E. Palmer, professor emerita in the School of Social Work, has received an Ontario Senior Achievement Award. The Ontario Senior Achievement Awards recognize people who have made outstanding contributions to their communities through voluntary or professional activities after the age of 65.

Dr. Palmer is a retired professor in the McMaster University Faculty of Social Sciences and a 26-year member of the Children in Limbo Task Force. Serving on many committees and volunteering her time for more than 45 years, she is a social justice advocate, an Indigenous ally and founder of the Good Food Box program which provides fresh produce to low-income Ontarians.
