Remembering Olivia Bibby

The School of Social Work is mourning the loss of Olivia Bibby, a student in our Bachelor of Social Work program who died on Thursday.

Apr 22, 2019

The students who were close to Olivia describe her as “a loyal friend who was always there for those around her. She loved the arts and expressed her creativity through words, music, photography, and fashion. She captivated conversations with wit, warmth, and humor. Her adventurous and caring spirit brightened anyone in her company.” Instructors and staff who knew Olivia appreciated her as a kind, humble, thoughtful person, and as someone who was deeply committed to social work.

A funeral and visitation will be held on Saturday, April 27 at the Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd West in Oakville. Visitation 11am – 1pm; Service 1pm. The obituary is here.

Olivia’s family and her circles of friends are in our minds and hearts. And so too are all of you who did not know Olivia well but are struggling with the knowledge of her death. Anyone who wants a chance to talk or needs support is encouraged to reach out.
