Invitation to participate in research about disability inclusion work in McMaster’s School of Social Work from 1968-2008

Calling members of McMaster’s School of Social Work community!

May 01, 2020

  • Do you remember how issues of disability inclusion and accessibility were discussed in the School between 1968-2008?
  • Did you experience chronic illness or disability (physical, sensory, learning, developmental, mental health or substance use-related, etc.) as a social work student or teach/support social work students with disabilities?

Dr. Alise de Bie is interested in meeting with you as part of an archival research study into disability inclusion work and the experiences of disabled social work students in McMaster’s School of Social Work from 1968-2008.

Alise is a disabled graduate of the School of Social Work (2005-2008; 2012-2019) and is conducting this project as part of their postdoctoral research fellowship at the MacPherson Institute for Leadership, Innovation and Excellence in Teaching at McMaster.
