Attention Honours BSW and BSW Post Degree Applicants!

If you are planning to apply to the Honours BSW or BSW post-degree programs for September 2019 admission there are a few steps that you need to take as soon as possible!

Application Steps 

McMASTER STUDENTS 

  1. School of Social Work Supplementary Application for Admission
    The on-line web-based application must be completed and submitted no later than March 1, 2019

  2. S.W.A.T. (Social Work Admissions Test)
    Each applicant will write the S.W.AT. on-line through Avenue to Learn in March 2019. When you are completing the Supplementary Application (link above!) you will select the date that you will write the S.W.A.T.  

  3. Transcripts
    The School of Social Work will obtain a copy of your official transcripts directly from the Office of the Registrar at McMaster. You need not initiate this process. 

  4. Apply to Level 2 Academic Plans on Mosaic beginning April 8, 2019 until April 26, 2019. 
    You can select up to 4 program plans and Honours BSW should be your first choice.

  5. McMaster students applying to the BSW post-degree program: Please also complete (with payment) the McMaster Returning Student Application 

NON-McMASTER STUDENTS 

  1. School of Social Work Supplementary Application for Admission.
    The on-line web-based application must be completed and submitted no later than March 1, 2019

  2. S.W.A.T. (Social Work Admissions Test)
    Each applicant will write the S.W.AT. on-line through Avenue to Learn in March 2019. When you are completing the Supplementary Application (link above!) you will select the date that you will write the S.W.A.T. 

  3. Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC), Form 105Dhttp://www.ouac.on.ca
    Fee: $155 application fee + $85 assessment fee = $240.00
    OUAC form 105D must be completed by February 1, 2019.


  4. Transcripts
    Applicants must arrange for McMaster to receive official transcripts from all secondary and post-secondary institutions attended.  If you are currently attending fall term/semester, you must arrange for a transcript to be sent as soon as fall grades are available (to be received no later than March 1st.). If you are attending both fall and winter terms/semesters, you must have a transcript sent as soon as fall grades are available (to be received no later than March 1st) and another at the end of winter term/semester when winter grades are available.  All transcripts should be sent to the Office of the Registrar (Admissions), Gilmour Hall Room 108, McMaster University.  Fee information is available on the Ontario Universities Application Centre website.
